NEVER GROW UP SERUM ANTI-AGING SERUM...Why ADD a Serum?

NEVER GROW UP SERUM
ANTI-AGING FINE LINE FIXER

Never Grow Up Serum is a must have skin care regimen for me. I've used Perfectly Posh, Never Grow Up Anti-Aging Serum consistently for 4 years and I have no doubt in my mind that it has prevented fine lines and an extremely nourishing experience for my face. It's  natural oils, aloe vera, caffeine, and vitamin B3 help to stimulate collagen production, even skin tone, and tighten the delicate skin of the face.

My Morning Routine always includes Never Grow Up Serum

NEVER GROW UP SERUM

A good way to describe a face serum is to think of it as food for your face and the moisturizer is the water that hydrates the food for your face.  Serums contain a higher concentration of active ingredients. The Benefit to adding a serum to your daily routine will create an even tone, reduce fine lines, brighten, firm or get rid of dark spots. Why wouldn't you add a serum???

Cheap agents that contain mineral oil and petroleum can cause sensitive skin to  breakout. Serum's are designed to penetrate the outer layer of your skin to reach deeper down.

People with acne-prone skin need to be concerned with pore-blocking products, serums have a watery consistency—and many are, water-based instead of being oil-based. This means they absorb much faster without any breakout-encouraging residue left behind.

If your skin is oily, adding a moisturizes can cause our sebaceous glands to go in flight or fight mode and start overproducing oil to try to compensate for what it feels like is chronic dryness. So our attempts to make our skin less oily actually end up making us oilier!

That’s where serums like NEVER GROW UP ANTI-AGING SERUM,  come in. Far lighter (and faster to absorb) than moisturizer, they keep your skin hydrated without contributing to that greasy feeling. Because you’re keeping hydrated, your skin won’t overproduce sebum—thus making you less oily in the long run.

Key Ingedients

NEVER GROW UP SERUM  ANTI-AGING SERUM
ingredients contain Aloe Vera

Fragrance:
Lavender and lemon essential oils

The point I started this blog entry is because I had a customer concerned about her cystic acne and that NEVER GROW UP SERUM contains Ethylhexyl Palmitate. This agent is known on the Comedogenic scale as a cause for acne on acne prone skin because it's pore clogging.  The best advice is to chat with your doctor if you have questions but always remember that we have many customers and acne prone skin users and they enjoy the products and found that if they used it once a day they had good results but that twice a day was probably too much.

So that may help customers whom may question a serum going forward. As in just because it says it's bad for acne skin doesn't mean it is 100% out, it just means you may modify how to use it compared to a person with regular skin.

Does The Skin Care Products You use Cause Estrogen DOMINANCE?

Does The Skin Care Products You use Cause Estrogen DOMINANCE?

Does The Skin Care Products You use Cause Estrogen DOMINANCE? I was talking to a friend the other day and she told me ever since she started a certain skin care regimen that was not naturally based, she started having weird reactions. So, she started doing a little research and told me some of her symptoms coincided with "Estrogen Dominance"  I thought this was interesting and I started doing a little research and I want to share with you what I found regarding skin care and how chemicals in skin care may cause "Estrogen Dominance."

Does The Skin Care Products You use Cause Estrogen DOMINANCE?

First, I will share with you a short break down on factors that cause aging of the skin. UV damage, Genetics, lifestyle and hormonal aging. When our body ages DNA repair and and cell regeneration decreases along with our supply of natural antioxidants resulting in moisture loss and dehydration. Our body also struggles with absorbing water from the air.  Collagen is also damaged easily by free radicals. Free radicals will cause skin sagging to wrinkles.  Pigmentation is also a sign of aging caused by the decrease in melanocytes which intern cause them to cluster together giving the appearance of brown spots.  I gathered this information from  this peer reviewed study that I recommend you read HERE.

** Skin Care mask that helps pull Free radicals from the skin is HERE:

Does The Skin Care Products You use Cause Estrogen DOMINANCE?

Estrogen Dominance is cause by excess estrogen, I'm only going to focus on the xenoestrogens. Xenoestrogens are fat-soluble and non-biodegradable, external sources received through the skin or digestion.

The major sources of these Xenoestrogens are pesticides, detergents, petroleum products, plastic products, cosmetics, among others that do not relate to my post but you can read full article HERE.

Skin care products are only one small source that can cause Estrogen dominance and may not be the main source of these symptoms but do BE AWARE of your skin and hair care products because the amount of chemicals in commercially sold, facial cleanser, toner, moisturizers, anti aging creams, makeup and many others can be frightening. As a general rule, most sensitivity will be from man-made ingredients, not from naturally ingredients unless you have an allergy to that ingredient. If you wouldn't eat it why would you put in on your skin? I could literally eat all my Perfectly Posh Products although, they may not taste as yummy as they smell.

I did read an interesting point, when eating food your liver will detox most ingested ingredients and your body goes through many phases of protection such as digestion before it goes through your systemic circulation. Verses when putting products directly on the skin, your body absorbs the chemicals and it goes directly into the blood stream. Just some food for thought.

Does The Skin Care Products You use Cause Estrogen DOMINANCE

I could go on and on but I do not want this to be too lengthy, the moral to this blog is pay attention to your ingredients, avoid the listed chemicals below and choose naturally based products such s my favorite products, Perfectly Posh . Perfectly Posh is a naturally based company focused on using the best ingredients possible that are safe for the skin. So, next time you have a weird reaction after trying a skin care product consider the ingredients and ask yourself, could this be causing an increase in estrogen?

Chemicals To Avoid in Your Skin Care Products:

  • Petroleum products (propylene glycol, mineral oil, baby oils, many fragrances, etc): These clog pores and encourage acne; may inflame skin. Lead to fine lines and wrinkles being more visible.
  • Parabens (benzoic acids, butyl ester, methylparabe, ethyl ester, etc.):These are the xenoestrogens I’ve written about extensively. They mimic estrogen, contributing to estrogen dominance, or block estrogen receptors, which causes estrogen deficiency. They contribute to skin and breast cancer, low testosterone, and DNA damage.
  • Formaldehyde (formalin, formic aldehyde, methyl aldehyde, etc.) and formaldehyde releasers (DMDM hydantoin, Dimethylol-5,5-dimethylhydantoin, etc.): These are basically very irritating, causing allergic reactions.
  • Sulfates (sodium laureth sulfate, sodium lauryl sulfate): These are strong cleansers. But for your skin and scalp, they are likely to be irritating and drying, which means more signs of aging.
  • Alcohols (SD alcohol, ethanol, methanol, benzyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, etc.): These can be drying, depending on content in the product.
  • Artificial colors and dyes: Anyone may have obvious or subtle sensitivity reactions to these.
  • Ethanolamines (DEA, MEA, TEA): These cause allergic reactions, irritation to eyes, and drying of hair and skin.
  • Phthalates (dibutyl phthalate, dioctyl 2,6-naphthalate, dibutyl 1,2-benzenedicarboxylate, etc.): This is a solvent found in nail products, blush and bath oils. It’s shown to cause birth defects in animals, and it damages male reproduction. In a 2002 study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, every participant tested positive for phthalates.

About Me

About Me
I'm Milisa Brzuska, a PP3 consultant! I joined Perfectly Posh Sept.18, 2013. My youngest son just turned one, and I heard of Posh a few months prior through a friend. My poor little guy was suffering from chapped cheeks and nothing I tried would clear up the redness. My friend recommended the “Healer Stick” and gave me hers to try on my son. Within 24 hours, I saw a HUGE improvement. I was sold as a customer but not committed to becoming a consultant. Fast forward to September, I felt like I wanted to do something flexible, fun and on my own terms. I took the plunge and figured if I failed at it at least I would have a ton of awesome pampering products. Well, two and a half years later I’ve built a great team and still love my decision. I take pride in being a leader and also I love to help people choose a product that they can trust. Perfectly Posh is a 4-year-old rising star in direct sales that wants to see their consultants succeed. I have seen the vision, experienced the effectiveness of the product and seized a positive, successful opportunity. That’s my Posh Story, Lets make yours.
